(Kathy Mattea) and biker lullaby "Harley", to the wonderfully poignant tribute to Martin Luther King "Beautiful Fool", and of course his Grammy Award winning country classic "Where've You Been". "Where've You Been" was the first song in country music history to be awarded song of the year honors from ACM (Academy of Country Music), CMA (Country Music Association) and NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) along with winning a Grammy all in the same year.

Craig Bickhardt Craig Bickhardt signed his first record contract with Albert Grossman (Dylan's manager, and owner of Bearsville Records) in 1974 at the age of 19. Since then he has recorded for four labels including Capital-Liberty Records, Warner Brothers Records, MTM Records. As a performer Bickhardt has appeared on the Grand Ol' Opry, Austin City Limits, Mountain Stage, and at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Sellersville Theater, New Bedford Folk Festival, The Bluebird Cafe (where he was one of the original Writers-In-The-Round from 1986-1990), The Bitter End, The Main Point, The Hollywood Palomino, Burlap and Beab and numerous other venues. He has shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, Stephen Stills, Judy Collins, Hank Williams Jr., Leo Koettke, Kathy Mattea and Tim O'Brien among many others.

As a staff-songwriter for EMI and Universal music for 19 years, he generated a catalog of over 800 songs that were recorded by notables such as Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Alison Krauss, Vince Gill, Tony Rice, Jonathan Edwards, Kathy Mattea, Art Garfunkle, Trisha Yearwood, Poco, David Wilcox, Martina McBride and more than 100 artists worldwide. His voice and songs can also be heard in the Academy Award winning film "Tender Mercies" starring Robert Duval, as well as the films “Switchback” and “At Close Range”.

Craig currently tours extensively, captivating audiences with just his guitar, his songs, and his stories. He has also taught songwriting at various institutions such as the prestigious McNally Smith College of Music. The promoters of the Philadelphia Folk Festival had this to say about him: “Craig Bickhardt is one of the giants of performing songwriters. His show on this year’s main stage was outstanding and he helped curate some of our best panels.”

Craig Bickhart’s most recent CD, “Outpourings,” made it to #2 on the Folk/Americana DJ Chart.

“Outpourings is another sterling showcase for [Bickhardt’s] myriad talents...his fluid acoustic guitar, and its exquisite craftsmanship and feeling play beautifully against the smart and literary quality of his lyrics.”  - Nick Cristiano, Philadelphia Inquirer
