From the recording Songs from the Vault 1985-1995

This recording still brings me joy to listen to. It was a continuation of my development as a songwriter and producer. The song became the most requested original song at my gigs at the time. After meeting Doug James...we re-wrote the song as "One More Dance". It's a wonderful song in it's own right. I chose not to include it in this collection...so as not to cause confusion.

One More Chance

When darkness fills my room
These memories of you
Are on my mind just like song
This time I will be true
To myself and to you
If you’d just let me
Baby I’d make it sweeter than it was before
If you’d forgive me just once more

CHORUS
Could you give me one more chance
To dance one more dance
To hold you once more
Couldn’t we go back in time
So you could be mine
Could you give me one more chance

You must think I’m a fool
To say these things to you
After all I put ya through
But time can help people change
Their lives can rearrange
And I think it’s happened
Baby I’d treat you
Better than I did before
If you’d just open up the door

CHORUS
Could you give me one more chance
To dance one more dance
To hold you once more
Couldn’t we go back in time
So you could be mine
Could you give me one more chance
